Why Deadpool 3 Should Be Retitled? Hugh Jackman Has Funny Reason

Hugh Jackman admits that he doesn’t like the title of Deadpool 3 and explains why he thinks it ought to say Wolverine instead. Hugh Jackman explains in amusing detail why he thinks Deadpool 3 should have a different name. Since making his movie debut in the 2000 film X-Men, Jackman’s Wolverine has been a steadfast fan favorite among Marvel’s roster of on-screen characters.

Since then, Jackman has returned to the role of Wolverine in many X-Men films, but Logan’s satisfying, though tragic, conclusion to his character’s journey in 2017 seemed to suggest that Jackman was wrapping up his tenure in the role.

The first two Deadpool films were critically acclaimed, and commercial smash hits after Ryan Reynolds spent years trying to make Deadpool a reality.

Both movies made more than $780 million globally and received plaudits for the coarse humor and violence they included. One of several projects that are anticipated to be included in the upcoming MCU schedule of films and TV shows is Deadpool 3.

At SDCC 2022, Disney and Marvel announced that the Merc with a Mouth would return to the MCU, and Reynolds later that year confirmed the release date. The Multiverse Saga will feature Deadpool in either MCU Phase 5 or 6. Before Wade Wilson joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe in time for the multiverse-spanning finale, here is everything you need to know about Deadpool 3.

Hugh Jackman explains in detail why he thinks Deadpool 3 should have a different name.

Because of this, the public was somewhat taken aback when it was revealed that Jackman would be playing the same part in Deadpool 3, which will mark Deadpool’s (and now Wolverine’s) formal debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are only a few fresh updates on this eagerly awaited film, and nothing else is known about what spectators may expect from Deadpool 3.

The movie is also anticipated to welcome back a handful of Reynolds’ past Deadpool co-stars. Deadpool 3’s current release date has been moved up several times, and it is now set for late 2024. Filming is anticipated to start early next year.

All information about this future collaboration is sure to be appreciated as audiences are still in shock over the news that Jackman would be revisiting his legendary role, made the more so by the fact that his comeback will be with Reynolds.

Any time during the film’s production, the official title of Deadpool 3 could be revealed. It will be intriguing to see if Wolverine’s name is included. Deadpool 3 may still be used for the movie, though, based on Jackman’s comments, and it’s safe to guess that this will not be well received.

Although the specifics of Wolverine’s position in Deadpool 3 are still mostly unknown, Jackman’s comments may hint at a significant one. Jackman’s wish to be mentioned in the movie’s title may imply that moviegoers will see Wolverine star as Deadpool 3’s secondary lead, despite Reynolds’ enthusiastic revelation indicating that Jackman’s appearance would likely be more than simply a cameo.

This possibility is quite exciting. Despite the movie’s new home at Disney, Wolverine’s return further proved that Deadpool 3 will stick to the character’s R-Rated roots. With a more significant role in the movie, Wolverine is now guaranteed to keep Deadpool 3 firmly outside the PG-13 range.

Jackman recently disclosed in a joke to Variety that he has a problem with the movie’s current title, Deadpool 3. Although the title of the film is expected to change slightly before it is released, Jackman expressed that he isn’t particularly pleased with it because it minimizes his character. He added that he is “pretty sure” Wolverine would also object to the title. See the quote from Jackman below.
