Kamal Haasan’s Vikram Crosses Rs 250 Crore Globally: Highest Tamil Grosser Of 2022?
Vikram, starring Kamal Hassan, has remained a box office hit, grossing more over Rs 250 crore globally. The film has eclipsed The Gathering of Beast as the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2022, according to estimations.
The film grossed almost Rs 165 crores in its first week in India.
Kollywood’s first week collections, according to trade expert Ramesh Bala, are only second to 2.0, which benefited greatly from the Hindi and Telugu models.
With Rs. 140.30 crores, the Tamil model’s first week earnings are the biggest ever, surpassing Bigil’s (Rs. 136 crores).
Excellent reviews and word of mouth are expected to boost Vikram’s foot traffic over the weekend, according to the company.
The film could also be interpreted as a depiction of field office developments in northern Indian states.
Meanwhile, the film is doing exceptionally well in international markets. Vikram’s foreign field office receipts were expected to be in the region of Rs 80 crore.
In addition to playing the protagonist, Kamal Haasan has invested in Vikram through his Raaj Kamal Worldwide Movies firm.
Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Suriya also star in the film. Furthermore, a Vikram sequel is in the works.
