Rihanna And ASAP Rocky’s Appearance At The “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Premiere Will Blow Your Mind
The highly anticipated sequel premiered, and RiRi and boyfriend A$AP Rocky were in attendance.
The entire cast of the Marvel sequel was present, including Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, and Letitia Wright.
Rihanna’s appearance at the premiere comes only one day after she announced her musical comeback with the release of a new original song that will serve as the lead single for the upcoming Black Panther original soundtrack.
Rihanna is the voice behind the film’s lead single ‘Lift Me Up,’ which is just one of the tracks she’s worked on for the film. She also performs the song ‘Born Again,’ which will be played during the credits.
The singer, who contributed to the film’s soundtrack, seemed magnificent in a glistening, muted-toned gown with long gloves. Rocky looked amazing in his jacket and pants combination.
The Savage X Fenty entrepreneur looked stunning in a strapless gown and long gloves, complete with shimmering eyeshadow to match her glittery look.
The actress walked the red carpet in a green-gray sequined strapless gown with cornflower blue denim contrast stitching. The one-of-a-kind evening gown also featured a dramatic asymmetrical draping feature sweeping across her waist and a subtle train.
She added cream-colored slouchy opera gloves, grey-heeled sandals, and a bedazzled ear cuff to her ensemble. With boldly lined lips and smokey eyes, Riri kept her hair down for glam.
Rocky, of course, coordinated his look with Rihanna’s, showcasing his own personal sense of style in the process.
The rapper dressed in an all-gray denim-on-denim ensemble that included a jacket layered over a black T-shirt and baggy jeans. His jeans had a mini train in the back that matched the “Love on the Brain” singer’s dress. He completed his look with white stud earrings and white-and-gray sneakers.
Rihanna is preparing two major comeback moves six years after her most recent album, Anti. The much-anticipated “Lift Me Up,” her first solo song in over five years, will be released to the public on Friday.
“Lift Me Up” also marks the beginning of the next chapter in Rihanna’s legendary career. Despite being featured on several songs, the 34-year-old singer hasn’t released an album since 2016.
The announcement of her upcoming original song follows the recent announcement that the new mom will perform at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
RiRi’s song “Lift Me Up” will pay tribute to the film’s late star Chadwick Boseman, who died in August 2020 from colon cancer.
She collaborated on the track, which will be released on October 28 ahead of the film’s November 11 release, with Tems, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, and film director Ryan Coogler.
Goransson wrote and produced the song, which was recorded in five different countries. It will be released on Friday through Rih’s Westbury Road label in collaboration with Roc Nation, Def Jam Recordings, and Hollywood Records.
The second song for the film, titled “Born Again,” is described as a “beautiful ballad” produced by The Dream.
The soundtrack, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By, will be published on November 4th, followed by Göransson’s score on November 11th.
Wakanda Forever gives fans their first look at how the country has operated in the immediate aftermath of the universe’s five-year “blip,” as well as how Wakanda has dealt with the loss of its King.
Wakanda appears exposed to the rest of the world as a result of T’Challa’s death, which deprives Wakanda of its Black Panther.
After speaking with Ryan and hearing his vision for the film and the song, I knew I wanted to write something that depicted a warm embrace from all the people I’d lost in my life.
I imagined what it would be like to sing to them now and express how much I miss them, Tems made the announcement in a statement. Rihanna has always been an inspiration to me, so hearing her perform this song is an enormous honor for me.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were spotted on the red carpet posing for photos and showing off their PDA. It was the first red carpet appearance for the new parents since the birth of their child.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child in May, and the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner heralded a new era in maternity fashion.
Riri is preparing for the fourth edition of the Savage X Fenty Show, in addition to her involvement in the Black Panther soundtrack.
The film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in theatres on November 11th.
