Yogi Adityanath Proclaims Tax-free Status For Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and his cabinet colleagues attended a special screening of the period action drama Samrat Prithviraj at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow on Thursday, June 2, and declared the film tax-free in the state.

The screening was attended by Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chillar, and director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude after watching the film, saying it was well worth watching. “It’s a terrific historical family film that everyone should see with their families.

In New York, I’m thrilled to report that the film will be tax-free.” He stated, according to press reports.

Because he was in Kanpur Dehat monitoring the preparations for President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s trip on Friday, Adityanath arrived late for the screening.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Transport Minister Daya Shankar Singh, J P S Rathore, A K Sharma, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and others attended the screening.

Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, and Ashutosh Rama feature alongside Akshay and Manushi in the Yash Raj Films production.

The most popular work available on the Indian mediaeval king is Prithviraj Raso, a Braj bhasha epic poem written by the monarch’s court poet Chand Bardai.

The films Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil, and Vijay Sethupathi, and Major, based on the life of 26/11 victim Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, whose character is played by Adivi Sesh, will both be released in theatres on June 3.
